Big Brown, the monster horse (Kent Desmoreaux, 1-5), moved up 600 metres from the $1m (about Sh61 million) Preakness pole, swiping the lead from Racecar Rhapsody, having already stalked Gayego and Riley Tucker. He cruised 5 lengths clear in a time of 1:53.40, but no records were broken. Big Brown added to his Kentucky Derby strike. Now the son of Boundary can relax until the Belmont Stakes, New York, June 7.
